Green waste services
Residents from Melbourne's northern and western suburbs are set to benefit from improved green waste services.
Veolia Environmental Services has been chosen by all participating councils and the Metropolitan Waste Management Group to construct and operate two new organic treatment facilities.
The construction of an 'in-vessel' processing facility at Bulla and a transfer station at the Wyndham landfill to collect and send organics to the Bulla site are in the plans.
Iramoo Ward Councillor and Wyndham's Metropolitan Waste Management Group representative, Cynthia Manson said the new facilities would provide the best practice technology for the management of organic waste.
