Mt Druitt garbage times cleaned up
Mt Druitt residents are facing new garbage collection times, Blacktown Council says.
A council spokeswoman said some residents in some suburbs faced new collection times for their garbage, recycled rubbish or both.
The changes take effect this Sunday. Affected areas include Mt Druitt, Oakhurst, Plumpton and Hebersham.
The spokeswoman said affected residents would be notified via a letterbox drop.
“The changes to rubbish collection days for some parts of the city is needed due to the expansion of the city’s population,” she said.
About 8500 residences are expected be affected.
